Pay It Forward -- it's been a while

Such generousity going around here! I will eventually grab something up, but I am holding out for another American or Japanese spidie.
 
I'm very happy to see this going so well this time around. I look forward to participating at some point soon. Kudos to all who have given so generously thus far. :thumbup:

I hear ya, I was holding out for a spyderco bug or ladybug as I've wanted both for a long time ( only buy In stores , and no knife shops around ) but I saw a seal pup go unclaimed that I figured I'd try out as they've interested me for a long time ( design based on a blade from the Vietnam war ) and a sog folder that my cousin could really use.
It's good that people aren't really claiming stuff just because, and giving claims up to people who could use them more.
 
I'm holding out for something I think I will really carry. That being said, if anyone wants to list a spyderco Pacific salt, that's what I'm looking for right now. I have a golden made spyderco in near new condition to list sometime.

A FFG G10 would be sweet. That would the like the best of both Spyderco and Benchmade. The FFG blade with a spydie hole and lock mechanism basically like an Axis lock.

That would be a win-win situation.
 
The spirit of the thread if for people to offer things. Making requests like that isn't exactly what it's all about. I would suggest the Ganzo 729 as the shape and dimensions are the same. It's a decent value blade version to try the PM2 before going out of your way to get the real deal.
 
Sorry if that's how I came across. Looking back, and rereading me post, I see how it seems. I apologize for that. I was trying to illustrate how I'm not going to pick anything up unless I think it is something I will really use. I don't have any knives I don't use. Or I won't after I gift that manix, haha. It got pushed out by a blurple manix.

Wasn't trying to chastise or anything. The wording nlewman used was ambiguous and the newcomer to the thread was basing his request upon that interpretation. It's a great thread as long as we maintain the spirit. Please forgive me if I was quick to speak up though. I also agree that one should not claim something just to do it, but rather claim only a user.

Definitely no need to request a knife, but nothing wrong with hoping a knife you've been thinking about knife gets offered up.

The sog seal pup would've really been a gamble for me ( don't really have gambling money )
But I've been thinking about it and I'm starting to think that I'll probably like it quite a bit .

Now that I think about it I have a like new knife burred in a box somewhere that I'll offer when I can eventually find it.
It's a 25$ od green and black handled field and stream folder in 440c ( so it says on the blade ) with nylon sheath . ( not a bad knife but way too fat and bulky to edc ) it may be in a box that's at my moms so who knows when I'll ever be able to dig it out.
