Pay It Forward -- it's been a while

Glad to see needler420 get something. When I looked back for unclaimed knives based on his question, I saw that he had tried to make claims twice and both times it seemed he had went unnoticed. Instead of raising a fuss, he remained respectful. Great integrity needler420! I hope the Vapor works out!
 
Got another one! Anyone want a Case Sodbuster Jr.? Pretty much new, bought it to take on vacay and decided Sodbusters are not for me. Came in a clamshell, so no box. Blade is terribly off, touches liner closed, but hey its meant to be a user and should be treated as such. PM, VM, Email...just let me know.

This is a great knife dosent matter about fit up this is a work horse i would never get rid of mine. Awesome pif man one of the best knives I've seen offered when it boils down to a rock solid knife

How long is the blade?

If it is 3 inches long It might work as a knife for in my wife's purse.

Doesn't seem like anyone has claimed this yet, I'd love to give it a new home. I'm used to have a BF account a few years back, but unfortunately lost it after I forgot the username :(. If you still don't feel comfortable giving it to a new user, it's all right!
 
I will dig around tomorrow to see if I have any knives to offer as part of the Paying it Forward!!

I measure 2.5 cutting edge, 2.75 overall blade. It may just be because its new, but the pull and self close are very strong on this one and Id be hesitant to let my wife carry it. Just sayin...

Not a problem. Blade is shorter than I am looking for anyhow.
 
I'd say for sure anyone registering in the last week or two should offer up something at the same time or before hand. No I'm not the pif police. But anyone here would agree and it will keep this going in the rite direction for hopefully a long time.

It would also be nice if people could offer up an approximate value equal to what they take, so no offering a S&W while taking a Benchmade. Now mind you this is just something I'm forcing on myself, like the karambit I claimed is worth more than I offered, so I will be putting something else in (unless people take the rest of what I offered, I'm literally giving it away!) to "balance the scales". Not a rule, not even really a suggestion, just saying it would keep the spirit of the thread in place. Also I have a weird set of rules I impose on myself.
 
I believe that all requests for a claim should be public. I've seen a couple times now something no longer available but no public claims...

I was agreeing with keeping the claims public in the thread rather than via email or PM.

The value for value PIF is at the discretion of the person offering. I think that making that mandatory turns the thread into a swap meet rather than a gifting forward thread. I say to take as you need and give as you can is a good motto if followed.

This has been a long time coming . I FINALLY got back from vacation last night and was able to spend some time messing with the buck vantage. My first impressions are wow this things action is incredibly smooth. I'm not sure if it's just this one and you having broken it in or if they all are that way. Maybe someone here could let me know. I ran it over a sharp maker and it came out hair popping sharp in no time. Curious about the edge retention again if you or anyone on here had more experience with vantage 420hc I'd love to know. Great size a little heavy but not unmanageable. Can't wait for some more EDC time with it to see. I wish I could post pictures of it being used for the tasks I will do with it but I don't have a photbucket account etc. Also the deep carry pocket clip is absolutely perfect I haven't had one in this design and I think it maybe my new favorite style. On a side note,if edge retention is an issue with 420hc but they all are this smooth than I can definitely see me buying an avid or the next level and putting this one back up. At the very least for someone else to get the opportunity I have been given. Thanks Bear! I love this forum. Now to make some time to dig up something. Thanks again.

Enjoy that buck. I picked one out for a co worker at an old job. Going on 4 years of edc.
