Oh no problem..lol I just take so dang long to type sometimes I am slow on the draw. :) comes with age I guess. let me know if you need further assistance and I could do some screenshots and step by step show you.

Hey Jim I put a rule up on my knife back in the first thread , just because well, I wanted an active duty soldier currently deployed to get my knife, FWIW I haven't said I'll take a thing ,but if you would like me to pull me Emerson I will my friend, God bless you brother been praying for ya too.

Up for grabs now is a set of Busse Black Paper Micarta Handle Scales for the Busse Tankbuster. These are big scales and could be shaped/fit to another knife if you're one of the many crafty members around here. If you're interested in messing around with them or fitting them to a knife, let me know by replying to this topic!! Two other package-deal items coming up soon....
 
This is getting a bit stressful. Personally, I haven't taken a thing, I purchased a brand new knife for someone...and I did put a stipulation on the next thing that I am giving away. But that said it was only so that the item could be claimed after 8:30PM so that folks who work all day not in front of a Computer could get a shot at claiming something unique. Just saying!

Why do you guys do it the difficult way? On the right of the image you want there is 4 options that says Links to share this photo click the IMG one it copies automatically, just paste that here, no need to use [img] no need to click on the insert image or anything

I could actually use this micarta for Busse, but I already got something. If nobody claims it by 2moro ill jump on it :D

I don't know who is being referred to here, but I do know it is pointless to ignore facts. People are upset because someone else is being greedy and bringing negativity to the thread, so you blame the ones who are upset by it? That is unusual logic.

It has already been agreed that there will be no official rules, therefore people are free to create their own conditions. It seems like you would deny them even that. Different people deal with situations differently, and I think it is best that people create their own terms and conditions for their personal items. It does not effect the spirit of the thread nearly so much as the stingy folk, who surprisingly enough have by now disappeared or started to contribute, possibly in part because something was said about it. Or hey, maybe they just needed clarification.

I think the mindset of the gimme gimme folks has evolved a bit in this infectious positive mood, and I think the thread has settled down a good bit. I think the atmosphere is improving quite a lot and people are really connecting. I do not think that it is ok to say "it's not in the spirit to make rules" but in turn want to enforce a rule of "no personal conditions". Just my $0.02.

I took page one to mean no rules at all, allowing people to provide conditions if they chose to. I agree with RemyKaze above, the thread has calmed way down for the gimme's, and i think more and more people seem to be participating, which is great.

I thought it was discussed or brought up by Jim that he would make a third thread if the way he started this stayed that way. He also offered if I remember right to allow someone else to create a different thread to continue the theme but wanted to add rules to the giveaways!

If I am mistaken, I apologize as I am just going by what I think I remember! Not trying to get involved in the politics. :D
