Hey fellow Washingtonian.
I get it over by Blewit Pass just North East of Cle Elum on 97,but it can be found anywhere.I prefer Eastern WA because it's usually drier than the West side for camping.
Go up a logging road & into the woods & look for a stump that has sap all over the top of it.Or just start tearing apart stumps that are already falling apart to get to the solid center that is most times fatwood.
I see stumps with dried sap on top all over the place when wandering the woods around Blewit.
Be sure to bring a saw & something to split the chunks off with.I use a big knife but a hatchet/axe will do.;)
Oh and wait till hunting season is over,I wouldn't want you to get shot.:thumbup:

SO i have been playing with this spyderco A LOT, and i never put a whole lot of thought into folders but this thing is making me really want to get another great folder, hell my wife seen it, i tried to hide it from her cause she loves purple but man she found it, tried to take it.. but i got it back LMAO, but when i get the Rat-1 I will pass her the spyderco because she really loves it, and i really lover her :)

But this folder has me considering trading a Busse/kin to get me a real good folder. Something like a strider or nice ZT/hinderer design folder.

This thread is awesome, the people are awesome, just good stuff all around!! I got a few more things to post up for you guys but honestly it will be a little while, i can show you guys the receipt i spent $95.15 in shipping fees this morning so I have to wait to get paid before i start shipping more boxes out.

I know the shame feeling,I've missed more than taken back when I bow hunted.
I shot under a doe that was right in front of me at about 10 feet once.:o

If i decide to do it I will let you know!! But I will most likely be trading a swamp rat- Bussekin- not a Busse combat. same family, same heat treat protocols. But I have a Vex coming thats limited production and there is a whole thread of people wanting that knife, so it gives me some leverage lol
 
If anyone has a spyderco they are ready to pay forward i would definitely be interested, that is one brand i have always wanted to try but still haven't. So if you've got an old beat up spyderco you want to pass on let me know. Thanks, Jake
 
Am I the only one who has noticed that it seems the most generous folks on here are the beckerheads??? Thanks to a forum member I have a bk-7 coming, I may haft to check out the subforum and see how to get that number, you guys are good peeps:thumbup:
