Paypal for knives

To this point I haven't seen this as an ethical issue although I'm open to change if it seems right.

At this point, I have viewed the paypal fee as insurance toward buyer/seller fraud cases. There is time, money, and effort put into these situations that needs to be covered somehow. Since I do not foresee the transactions on this board going south, I do not mind sending it as a gift and forfeiting my right to use Paypal's Buyer Protection Service.

That is exactly what happens at some gas stations.

You see a sign with the price and then when you pull in, they say those were the "Cash Prices" and to add $0.05 a gallon if you pay by credit card.

I don't carry enough cash on me EVER to fill up my truck. Drives me nuts.

There is one chain called Swifty up here that kind of advertises like that. At the rest of them, the price is the same. I'll have to say that the advertised price at Swifty is usually a good bit cheaper than the "big" name stations.

You get a discount for paying cash, while the card price is the same as other other stations.

You should take a closer look at this subforum. Plenty of deals here have went south. You need to CYA anyway you can. Start by checking feedback, but don't skip out on -your- buyer protection to save some seller -their- PP charge.

Your number of post seem to speak from experience so I'll proceed with caution. I typically do look at feedback and if they are at 100% (only found one that was not) I feel pretty good about it. I also haven't run into my first bad deal so I know I'm speaking from a bit of inexperience/ignorance on the issue.
