Personally if listed as Gift, Family + Friends, Net to me (etc.) and I'm interesting in the item. I'll just offer the asking Price clearly stating- Paid via PayPal Goods shipped USPS Priority Mail. Take it or leave it- they always take it.
1 price for the item delivered, it's the ideal way and the way I do it.
I simple search on this subject will tell you all you need to know.
As a buyer if you pay with gift you are a fool. As a seller if you accept gift payments you are dishonest and a thief.
Our mods do a damn fine job here. Babysitting grown ass people is not their job. Should they also inspect each item to make sure the description is accurate? While your stance on not using paypal correctly is admirable the way you are acting is not. Show some respect for this place.

I've not had that same experience...maybe 70%, at best, for me.
I've actually had two people try to add gift or __% to their terms after I paid. I insisted on a refund in both cases, even after the one agreed to accept the agreed upon -and paid- price. I wouldn't consider buying from, or selling to, either one of them because of that stunt.
