PayPal issue

This is a completely legitimate request. I had this happen a while back and it is a total pain in the butt but you have to do it to get access to your funds. Unfortunately there is no way around it.

Just make sure that you go directly to the paypal website/contact info when you provide them with the info!
 
In some cases (like mine), PP must gather this info to fulfill IRS demands.
My PP account is linked to a Canadian bank. I have spent a large amount of money on knives and paid USA sellers with PP for each of the last 6 years. I have never filed a USA tax return.
IRA uses PP to phish. Was i an American hiding my money in Canada ? I had to prove: country of birth and citizenship.
Once i proved i was not born in USA and have never been an American citizen and have never worked in USA, my PP account was re-opened.

You must have been selling automatics or something weird,because i've been sellling knives using paypal/ebay since it started.It sux sometimes,but all in all is good.It's what customers want to use so there is no going back.I do miss getting usps money orders,cash,and checks in the mailbox!
