I will call them in the morning
Just wonder if anybody encounter situation like this before

He sends payment (from Poland) as a payment for "services" instead of "goods"
and wants item shipped to his buddy in Nova Scotia. Seems like I can't get screwed on "not delivered" item. Can he file claim on "services not received" and screw me out of knife?

I would avoid that. Sell to someone direct, there are too many ways for that to go wrong against you. Have him mail you a postal money order, cash itand then mail it to the friend in Nova Scotia. If he does not want to do that, then do not do the deal. If your senses tell you it may be a bad deal, then it just may be.

I don't know, at first sight it looks risky. Why would he send a payment for services in the first place? Can that payment even be refunded?

Of cause it can be refunded. I have no idea why he sent it that way - waiting for him to respond
At this point I'm interested if anybody had a claim filed for "services not received"

When you look at the transaction's details on your PP account, does it say it is eligible for buyer protection?

The only reason I can see to why he used the "services" is that he wanted to waive the buyer protection without resorting to a gift payment. That could be because he wants you to ship to an address different from his verified PP address. I don't know if there is any kind of protection attached to a purchase of services, though. Maybe you should ask PP directly.

OK, I found this here: https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/cs/res_center_info&country=US&usertype=premier&change_locale.x=1&user_locale.x=en_US&pagetype=inside

I asked for a "gift" option in the beginning - cause otherwise scheme "one paying and other receiving" is a sure way to loose knives and money
He sent it differently. PayPal took almost 5%
I refunded his money and asked to arrange the payment through his buddy in NS
PayPal goods or Postal MO or check should not be a problem, I think.

Well his buddy just sent the payment, so everything as it should be at this point
Thanks everybody
