Yesterday after I got home from work we packed up the family and headed to a lavender farm. http://www.weirslanelavender.com/ The place was beautiful and smelled amazing. They are trying to increase the population of honey bees locally. It was really cool to talk to one of the ladies there 'Barb' about all their different efforts to increase the bee population. They had over 20 different species of pollen producing plants on site in order to support the bee population. Their specialty is lavender products. They have this really nice hemp/ lavender hand cream that works pretty well on my cracking / dry knuckles.
The kids had a blast running around the entire place up and down the hills and checking out all the different plants / bugs / smells. I ended up leaving my phone in the van so I didn't get any pictures. The link I posted has better photo's then I could take. Fun times
