I owned several CRKs in my years collecting knives. It all ended when first they quoted me a 6 weeks turnaround and it became an 8 months waiting for a simple spa treatment. And secondly when they became part of a scamming event and they just washed their hands on the entire situation. Now they are part of a BBB, UPS and postal agents investigation I don't think they are washing their hands as easily now. Thats my two cents. Could be a single handed case but I don't trust CRK at all and their ways of doing business.

PS. Some have asked me about the scamming/fraud and I am sorry I can't give any details about what happened but it is a federal investigation. Buyer beware tho

Making accusations without sources or details comes off as trolling..If you cannot give details, you should not have made the accusation in the first place.

Your situation is far from the norm from my own experience..Normally, my response time has been in a week or less..More often than not, its within 2 working days.
I am going to assume that for CRK, Mondays and Thursdays are very busy days as far as the phone lines are concerned. They work Monday-Thursday for the uninformed.

Also, these are not accusations when there is an investigation going on. There are hard true facts about the whole situation. Just because the facts can't be exposed in a public forum like this one does not mean they are not true. Just buyer beware thats all I can say. This is not trolling as I would not have made such as statement without me knowing exactly what I am talking about. Take it as you wish but CRK is not rainbows and unicorns as many people say.

I think the problem with your post is that you are throwing out something as 'fact' when it isn't. An investigation does not mean there will be a finding of wrong doing.....(if there is an investigation as you claim)

When you post something like that on a public forum it gets noticed and is very influential despite really being nothing at all. If there are no 'facts' that can be presented for whatever reason to support a claim, then maybe that claim should not be presented...

Of the three organizations you listed, the USPS is the only one with legal authority in terms of conducting investigations. Anyone can file a complaint - justified or not - with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and call it a "federal investigation." So did you or someone you know file a complaint against CRK?

How is it that you have chosen not to edit his out yet despite showing some sort of restraint in providing details? It can be considered libelous what you have here, and potentially damaging to a business. What is the point of bringing it up at all if it is "under investigation". I don't look for any attention, just trying to warn people about how CRK conducts their business. If I need to produce evidence of my statements I can't right now not because I don't have it. If my statement is not allowed here because I can't provide hard facts then you guys can delete them if you wish and let other members get screwed by this company. Again I know what I am talking about and I can guarantee you there are others in my situation as well. I know I will get some heat from fan boyz but my intention is to warn people. You guys are mods and can mod my comments as you wish but it will speak on how unlogical the process is that I " need" to give evidence of my statement instead taking consideration my status as a old and experienced member in this forum. It's pretty simple actually, if you have "privileged information" regarding something and cannot discuss it, it's best to simply zip it and not start something you clearly cannot finish. After all, what are you hoping to accomplish by posting a half truth and leaving everyone hanging? You come in here saying, "Oh, there is all sorts of stuff you don't know going on, I can't talk about it, but it's is under a federal investigation, blah, blah, blah..." What is everyone supposed to do with that? You provided no facts, no sources, nothing to go on at all, nothing but a rumor. There are a lot of "fanboys" in the CRK just like there are for most other brands. I'll guarantee you that if there had been past shady business practices involving CRK, it would have been brought up, because there are always people that don't care for particular brands for whatever reason, that would jump at the chance to badmouth a company...

Just a word of advice, while participating or involved in a federal investigation by any agency, you are not to discuss it. Especially if you are involved, posting on a public forum can do no good for your case and only jeopardize it.

Chris reeve is also a public figure and you can be held libelous. I'm not a CR hater or fan, but until you have some sort of proof I would refrain from making those accusations.

Accusations and opinions are two different things. You don't need proof to say you hate a company etc, you do if you post that a company is breaking federal law.
