So much for my NYR, (staying out of the drama filled thread's in the GBU). I'm going to make this one exception, in 2015 & this will be my only participation in the GBU for the entire year. ;) Thee only reason that I'm doing this, is because I think the comments posted by a certain member here, are totally baseless!

For the record: my personal experience with CRK, has always been exceptional. CRK knives (IMO) are of the highest quality, & their customer service is what I expect, from a professional, reputable business.

I refuse to make any comments regarding the allegations that are being cast here, against CRK. I will however, post a couple of links here, for the benefit of the other member's; so hopefully they can educate themselves (as to the type of personalities that these maker's have to deal with) make an intelligent, informed decision, as to the credibility, of a certain member here:

Thanks for the links. I found it ironic in the first link, the last post of his was that the knife was on its way to the maker, and he would post an update after he got it back.
His last post on the subject was in April of 2014. Musta got lost in the mail :D
 
This is extremely troubling to me.

--the OP has made an extremely serious allegation against a highly respected member but provided no facts.

--as a result, the community cannot assess his charges; they just sit out there.

--most disturbing of all, the subject of his allegations, Chris Reeve Knives, cannot respond or defend itself.

This is very, very dangerous, what happened during the worst of McCarthyism. A charge is made, no proof is offered to the court of public opinion, rumors swirl, and it is very difficult to challenge these allegations.

Ha, Ha, LMFAO, LOL, Hoot, Hoot, and Holy Cow and "you kidding me" ?? The ENTIRE forum has fallen into this mentality. This crap stayed at one point in a forum meant for this, W&C. GBU was reserved for FIXING, REPAIRING and RESOLVING. GKD was a place to discuss KNIVES, certain types of knives without fear of mudslinging. Without FACTS, this is all B/S and should NEVER be allowed outside W&C or the Cove. When you let lies, half truths and total B/S here, that's what you will be reading and responding to. And Outside a few, RevDevil and Kelma, for sure, the rest are just flameboys in this post. There are guys who post here often, Ken44, 338375 and others who know what the purpose here is, ( thank you for that ) address FACTS and fix the problem. This is not "who's your buddy." Unless it solves the issue, move it out of GBU, PLEASE.
 
These 27 posts above were removed from a thread that had a different topic in mind. Let me also say that hijacking a thread, dragging it off topic with real or imagined intervention by the Federal Government in relation to a simple knife maker rings of more to do with fiction than reality. Given the previous penchant for the dramatic on the part of the subject of this thread (name is in the title), I'd find it a it overly dramatic for our tastes here on Bladeforums.
In the event that I am indeed wrong and the NSA/FBI/CIA end up launching a full scale investigation and redacted documents are posted by the person named, I will gladly and humbly apologize. Until then, the best advice is to keep your speculations to yourself, unless they somehow tie in with the original topics being posted here. No more crazy tangents on things that may or may not be happening. We have ALL have just about enough of that. From now on if someone has complete and factual information they want to share, that is absolutely welcomed as a topic of discussion. Common sense should be your friend, not your worst enemy. Carry on the madness here, leave the old thread where all this mess was clipped from clutter free.

No offense, Pellel2, but your thread here does nothing. I have no plans to change my currently positive opinion of CRK unless/until I get some verifiable info that actually shows that there is an issue for me to be concerned with. This thread does nothing of the sort.

That said, hope things work out well for you and I will reevaluate my opinion if-and-when you provide some solid info that backs up your claims.
 
Those who know CRK also know we appreciate direct discussion and that we have frequently requested that an incident be brought to our attention by a phone call or email before the issue gets splattered all over the forum. We do our level best to offer high quality customer service and, if a customer has an issue, all it takes is a call to our office; the ladies in customer service will certainly bring an issue to my attention if necessary.

Internally, we have no knowledge of a 6-weeks-became-8 months-spa-treatment situation or any similar ongoing customer complaint. Since I have no idea who Pellel2 is, there is no way I can research anything or even give opinion on his statement. If we are part of a BBB, UPS, postal agents, or federal investigation, this thread was the first I have heard about it.

Since I can only moderate on our CRK forum, please would a moderator close this thread until substantive information can be offered?
