People are crazy

I would offer $5 and write the guy a couple paragraph memo asking if he's looking to sell the knife or just waiting around for a sucker.

So this is just off the top of my head but I believe if memory serves that this is actually the knife of a notorious biker gang leader, who is on deaths row. Or something like that. So it's less about the knife as who it belonged to.
I agree.
I want Louie to step up. There’s a human story here. I may need liquid sedation to get through it, but, the documentary could win something from the Cannes Film Festival.

I think that your level of talent requires represntation so you can churn out the product. Hire me as your agent and we will just print $$$.
tell ya what..let me drive one of your armored vehicles one time and I'll quit the art business......save us both a lot of wasted money and wasted time......

Seller just offered the knife up to me for $350.

The stubborn adherence to ridiculous asking prices suggest that 1) the seller is an idiot, who 2) paid a significant amount for the sad piece of refuse in question, and who 3) wants to pass the loss to some other poor, foolish schlub.

thanks for the feedback. my next one is even better and more rare. I call it the samonella face

I’d like this etched into the titanium handle of a very expensive folder knife. It would have to be done by a seriously skilled craftsman who can capture every subtlety and nuance of this original.

When a seller tries a move like this (selling for way more than realistic) I think of it as a "Hail Mary"....like in the 4th quarter of a losing effort.

Making lemonade out of lemons. In the motorcycle world, when someone crashes their sport bike and destroys the expensive plastic fairings and bits they will take them all off and market it as a ‘Street Fighter” or “Naked Bike” and try and sell it for market value or above. The reality is, it's just a wrecked bike. There was a local guy here selling scrubs at market value with the condition "come dig them out of my yard".

So, ya, people are crazy. All of us.

I can see that, but . . . "Louie" goes a few steps beyond that.

jokes aside. if you are ever looking for a craftsman to do engravings on titanium. i know that craftsman.... youd want. WValtakis

does the finest work and a great fella....go check put his subforum here......chipped metal.....you'll find it.

I like looking at and appreciate really well done engraving, but I prefer a more spartan appearance for my own stuff.
