Do please let us know what he says! I’d think that Louie is probably somebody of some notoriety and that’s why the insane price. I tried to Google DHS Vagos and Louie and came up with nothing. I bet that knife has ground a lot of opaque rock thingies into powdery substance though!I couldn't stand it any longer. I sent a message to the seller inquiring why they're asking for so much for . . . that.

Hi:
With respect, I have to ask: is your asking price for this item a joke?
Based on the condition as shown in the photos, I can't imagine how it would have any value as a using tool, much less to a collector. I can see how it might have sentimental value to the person who is responsible for it, or perhaps to a family member if the owner is deceased, but otherwise?
Was "Louie" famous in some way that might give it value just because he owned it?
I'm genuinely curious about the rationale behind asking for more than a dollar for the item.
Thanks
I understand. It is a collectors piece not the knife alone more of the history/provenance it would be considered an "odditie" for a niche market/Collector. Thanks for asking the question.
It is a sad commentary on how bored we are as members of this forum to make this a 90 post topic.
History/provenance? Maybe if it belonged to Moses and got all busted up like that getting smashed by those stone tablet thingies when he threw his little nutty up there on the Mount. Otherwise, whoever is responsible for this abomination, however famous this Louie person may or may not be, all of their other provenances should be immediately devalued by association alone. They should also be buried from the neck down, along with this crackhead selling it, in the path of a herd of stampeding wildebeests. There, how’s that for your next TikTok challenge. Odditie - right. I’ve scraped stuff more collectible off the bottom of my shoe. What I said to him:
And the response:
Ha Ha, best line in this thread!I’ve scraped stuff more collectible off the bottom of my shoe.

A little harsh but funny nonethelessHistory/provenance? The thing is, if he's going to talk about history and provenance, he has to actually provide the history and provenance.
In another world and in another time when I was much younger I worked in retail, yeah, I know, who didn't, right? I worked in a huge store that had a department that sold cameras and calculators of all descriptions. I once sold an accounting 10key to the treasurer of the local Hells Angels MC. True story.Yeah, the "history and provenance" seems to be missing, which is a shame. I'd like to know what it is too. I'm sure even outlaw motorcycle gangs have "history and provenance" in their culture.
