For Sale – “Peregrine” 1095 Differentially heat treated with Hamon; Dyed Box Elder Burl

Thanks to “gibbyx” on the forums, the knife I finished yesterday has a name! The "Peregrine" profile is similar to that of my Pradatorius model (which just sold that had meteorite bolsters, Damascus and dyed sycamore scales). The difference is that this is a non-bolstered model in 1095 vs. Damascus. It has a great distal taper and does not have a tapered tang like most all of my knives. I wanted a ‘beefy’ handle yet wanted it to be light weight so instead of tapering the tang, I skeletonized it.

I really like the looks of the knife. Great shape with a super useful look about it. Always have liked your twisted ribbon filework. Your photography on this one is fantastic. Looks like it ought to be used on the cover of a magazine.

Very nice, lots of work in a package like that. That box elder burl is killing me, I have to have some of that myself.

Thanks guys. I'm too poor to have a pro like Coop or Buddy do any photography for me so I try my best. You'd crack up if you saw my set up!

Joe - email me and I'll turn you on to a great supplier of dyed Box Elder.
