Ta hell with 2012, it was a deficit year for me......:grumpy:

:D

Lost my job, spent 7 months searching for a job, got one, crushed my thumb.....yeah, deficit year. :D

One good thing, I had to sell off one of my most prized firearms, but managed to corral my runaway pony.

So, post up your Perfect Pairings. Guns and knives.

Note on mine, the Classic USA Designs. 1911, doesn't get much more American than that, except, maybe, a classic clip point knife, very similar to the USA Kabar American Legend. Both have rubber handles, shiny metal, and compliment each other, very well.

You got a perfect pairing?

Well I couldn't afford the 870 Express Tac' I was going to get this year because of the whole AWB scare thing but I'd pair that with my 9

Hope the new year is a good one for all of you. Glad you got your gun back Moose, and hope that thumb heals fast. Here's three old friends of mine and a good pairing.

My old model 19 and my first Becker sitting on my favorite Pendleton wool shirt.

Nice combo you have there Moose. And I'm glad to hear that things are improving.

Love the Pendelton shirt Trade. Also feel the same about that combo.

Gus, you and Trigs got a heater yet? Canadian gun laws are draconian at best, but I was just wondering....

Hey Moose!

We were looking into it after we got back from the spring Gathering. We needed to take two courses - one for basic firearm safety and a second course for "restricted" firearms (hand guns). Then of course we would have a background check, etc. The courses could have all hapenend over a two day weekend but every one we contacted was booked till the fall!

We'll likely go for the courses this spring.

Yeah, things are a bit different up here!:o

Awesome, G, glad to hear it.

Here is a photo of a fun pair. I will have to get one of my carry 45 with it.

I would post up but I just sold my Kimber Custom II 1911 so I could give my kids a better Christmas:sorrow:
Sorry Rogue I know you were looking forward to shooting it.

I know that feeling, all to well, brother.

Its all about what we think is the priority. I sold my Colt back in the early summer to pay for Soccer nationals.

Seems to me like Beckers and Mossbergs just go together... Tough, inexpensive, reliable, and brutally efficient.

I feel your pain Moose. My 2012 was pretty bad, I worked very hard but managed to make only about 20% of my average income from previous years. I bought a few good knives but I sold other goodies to pay for them. I'm not buying guns so I can't relate to that completely but I understand that a 1911 and a S&W M19 are some of the best that you can get.

I still have my family and most of my health so I certainly have a lot to be thankful for. And there are a few other knives out there that I would like to buy.

Here's hoping that 2013 will be better for you and me both.

I do believe my XD40 paired with any of my Beckers is a match made in heaven.
If I had to choose one for the sidearm it would be the 11 under the shirt Necker style.
