I was just relishing this thread again, and thought I'd add this baby. I haven't seen enough of them to know how full the small blades are, but the main is certainly almost all there. And of course, all that goodness shines through that unmolested Patina!
I like it just as much the second time I've seen it, especially the way that great swedge is in keeping with the scale of the blade, and encompasses the nail nick.
I always believed an ebony knife got a bit more attention to it when they were built.
It seems to me also that the older knives just sort of changed colors over the years, more evenly.
