Perrin G10 Griffes ship to Suspects this week

That's right, Sniper! Our's are gonna be the BEST of the lot - that's why UPS is taking so long to f-ing bring 'em. The drivers are contemplating whether or not the brown uniform is worth the risk...

Mine landed today. This thing is surprisingly sharp! I'm setting this up with a belt clip for the reverse draw Fred showed me at the 99 Blade Show.

If ignorance is bliss,
why aren't more people happy?

YAY!!!!

I got mine today. Worked most of the day, never got home. Stopped by the house before going back out to work. I'm now enjoying my new toy at work. Ha Ha These griffes are COOL!!! I may need to get some more different ones. Eric blair, larry and vince at bladeart, laci szabo and last but certainly not least, fred perrin; you guys are all the greatest. I'm pretty new here, but man, what a cool thing to get involved with in the forum. Now who thinks they can top this? Maybe get ernie to make titanium griffes for $100? Takers, anyone? Sorry, i'm just all giddy from my new toy. He He.

You know, my luck has been like this for weeks now. Just got an email from Vince at blade art. They have no record of my order (which is why I have no Lagriffe yet). So, I have to get in touch with him Monday to set things right. ::sigh:: knowing me, I should have known something like this would happen...

Don't worry, Chris. Vince is a great guy and will take good care of you. You'll have your Griffe soon.
I'm very glad that everyone is so pleased with their Griffes so far. This was such a fun project to be involved in.

Just wanted to say I got mine in, great little knife. The service from Bladeart.com was outstanding! Can't wait to meet up with Larry at the Blade Show.

Ya' know, for a guy that's so-so on neck knives, I'm getting quit the collection. CRK&T, Livesay/Wicked Knife Company (two), EKI, Perrin, Ryan and probably a couple of more in the back of the safe.

Hey John, I'm very glad that you like your G10 Perrin. And yes, BladeArt is absolutely top-notch. I deal with both Larry and Vince regularly, and these guys really go the extra mile, every single time, to create a happy customer.
Anybody else get their G10 Perrin's yet??

Hi guys,

Just wanted to share my happiness. Took some 600 grit wet-dry sandpaper to my griffe last night. Just add water and a couple of minutes. And i thought i was happy before. He he he.

Mine have arrived (at last) and I think I'll try the trick with the wet and dry paper as well, just to break the edges !

Mine arrived today, and they are sweet! They're sharper than I expected, and each has its own unique personality.

Take a look:

Woah!

In response to dd1967, i only used the sandpaper to sharpen the edge on the blade, which works quite well. I don't know what effect it will have on rounding out the edges.

Hey guys! Mine showed up today. VERY cool little knife. I think I may break out the 600 grit for a little further sharpening...

Question: how are you supposed to hold it? It seems to sit in my hand naturally if I only insert my index finger until the knife is sitting on the 2nd knuckle. Then I put my thumb on the top of the knife to secure it. That sound about right?

Thanks, again, Eric! These are way cool!!

Chris

Got mine today! My sincere thanks to Vince and Larry at Bladeart, for letting me in on the deal (after I missed the boat in January,) and Eric, for the suggestion that I ask for one of the extras.

This mutant is clearly NOT a knife, it is a nasty, sneaky weapon of last resort. Pictures do not do it justice,... you have to feel one in your hand to fully realize the great design and ergonomics. Upon opening the package, it is actually a little larger than I thought it would be, and quite a bit thicker (as others have said.) The sheath is the first kydex I've owned, and it mates with the blade to form an extremly lightweight, secure, easy to deploy package. This one need a bit of sharpening, and I'll follow the lead of others here and use some fine sandpaper, a cheap coarse (tool) stone, or nail file.

I've carried a neck knife for years (Gerber Blackie Collins) but the 'Griffe is just SO much better in the grip. I can even get a SECURE reverse grip with my little finger in the hole.

I like this one so much, a steel 'Griffe is going to be a future purchase. It would be an Emerson, but I can use Fred's blade in more different grips and strikes than the hooked design. Remember from your firearms training, that in an stressful situation, you will probably not have much chance to "adjust" your grip after the draw, and you must practice employing the blade in a number of different ways. I think this axiom applies well to the LeGriffe, 'cause when he appears, bad stuff has already begun......

I hope no one here EVER has to actually use one!

Joe

Hiya Joe! I'm glad that you were able to get one of the extras, and it's great that you're so happy with it.
My G10 Griffe now lives quite comfortably in my wallet, and my Perrin Custom Buffalo Horn Bowie Griffe is back hanging from my neck, where it belongs. Nice cozy daily carry combo.
