I've always appreciated the sweeping curves of Persian style knives, so I thought I'd try to incorporate them into one of my Woods Bowie patterns. I really like the way she came out, lively in the hand and pleasant to hold. Don't let the polished micarta fool ya, the palm swell and handle profile provide plenty of grip! This one's not only pretty, she's ready to work:thumbup:
Overall length: 12 1/4"
Blade: 7 1/4" tip-to-scales
Handle: Black Paper Micarta over red liners
Steel: 3/16" 1075
Finish: Hand finished at 400 grit, buffed to an almost mirror polish
Grind: fairly thin convex with secondary convex edge bevel
Sheath: Yet-to-be-made leather, right or left handed (your choice)
Edit: I forgot to mention that the plunge lines are off by about 1/16" It's not much, but in the interest of full disclosure it needs to be said
I'll let this one go for SPF$175 with a sheath, shipping (in the U.S.) and Paypal included, or you can take 'er for $150 without a sheath I do take USPS MOs also, and if you're interested I'll ship overseas, provided you cover the extra shipping costs:thumbup:
Thanks,
Walter
