Persian style blade folder

What, no love for the Boker Plus Uocolus?

Very interesting! The spelling of the name gave my google search fits looking for it though! lol!

Another one - I was actually looking at the Uolcos AND the Bad Blood Persian (pictured below.) I even have saved eBay searches for them because I'd want to get them on the cheap. For-fun folders sit on the back burner a lot longer than my for-work folders.

I have a Uolcos, it's not bad though the pivot came way too tight(it doesn't flick well at all, you really gotta put a lot of wrist action into opening it), and the screw was stripped out of the box so I couldn't even adjust it.

Love my Uolcos and have been EDCing it awhile, but they do have quality control issues. Sent the first one back for having super late lockup. Second one was gritty, blade wouldn't stay centered, and didn't open well. After I took it apart, cleaned everything, added some Finish Line Extreme Fluoro, and adjusted the pivot screw, it now stays centered flicks great. Screws are soft and strip easily. Overall, I think it's an awesome design, and I can accept the imperfections for not having to pay for the price of the custom Uolcos.

It's interesting to see these other Persian folders, and there's a couple I didn't know anything about until now. I just have my Emerson.

Bad Blood makes some very well made knives -- their quality is at Kershaw's level.

Buck 415 Folding Kalinga Pro. Discontinued but available on ePay from time to time.

Just got a camo Buck 415 folding Kalinga Pro in the mail today. It was given to me by a friend for my birthday. The blade was signed by Chuck Buck in 2009.

How about the Spyderco Szabo? It's on my to get list. Towards the top... though I think the Bedlam auto is ahead of it.

I love my Emerson Persian. The only knife I've ever bought and kept just b/c the design itself is so interesting to me.

Look at the brous vendetta. Its what he calls a modified persian blade. I have a brand new one im trying to get rid of if youre interested. Ill take a flipper trade for considerably less value than the vendetta.

the emerson persian is nice, but i sold mine, it just didnt feel right in my hand. the spyderco chinook is one of my all time favorite knives, but they are discontinued. i hope spyderco does another run of them sometime soon.
