Persian style knives?

Hi,

I came across a picture of a Benchmade Badlam on these forums.
Decided I want something in that style, love the blade shape.

But the non-auto Badlam is getting some pretty bad reviews on some websites.
Lots of stories about blade play and loosening screws.
The auto is illegal where I live. (the Netherlands).

Cold Steel used to make a Persian style folder, but I think it is no longer in production.
Don't know if it was any good.

I'm also considering getting a CS Espada, as it shares some design features such as a wicked point and a belly. I find the
Persian shape more intersting though.

Can you guys suggest some other knives of this shape?

If you can think of a fixed blade, throw it out here also.
I might be interested in having it in my collection.

Ideas?

I have a Carter Neck knife that is a Persian Profile. He makes this profile in a lot of different sizes, but this is at an OAL of 197mm.

I have a non-auto Bedlam and it's fine. One of the screws that holds the pommel in place was a bit loose when I got it (odd), but I tightened it up and it hasn't loosened or anything since then. Just order from a place that's willing to inspect/hand pick the knife before shipping it, and put in the comments that you'd like them to send one with no blade play, centered blade, etc.

Shrade Sharpfinger. Great if you can score an original off ebay. Otherwise some makers make a similar looking knife. It looks like a Raptors Talon. Very cool.

I just got a neat little knife with a persian'ish blade: Cold Steel Mini-Tac Skinner.
Curved blade with an acute upswept tip. The handle looks funky but it's very purposeful and secure.

My last buy is spyderco persian 2. What a fantastic knife, so I wholeheartedly recommend that knife.

bh49's posted pic is original persian, the new "improved" version has bit changes and full flat blade.

Good tip.
I might chance it.
If the product is defective, it is insane to send it back and fourth between Europe and the US, though.
So I'll have to trust the company.
