Persian style knives?

I had a Benchmade 860 Bedlam and I had no problems with it at all. The only reason I no longer have it is it was a bit big for my liking. I am hoping for a mini version from Benchmade in the near future. :D

The Cold Steel Persian style blade is the Scimitar. I got one last year and i like it alot. No blade play at all. Even though its discontinued, you can still find them if you look around. I either got mine off of yourcornerstore or smokey mountain knives, can't remember. The scimitar is pretty large, i'd say about the size of the Spyderco Police 3 and they don't hurt the wallet too bad. I think i got minne around 80-90

I have the Bedlam 860 and I like it overall. The Sypderco Persian 2 is currently # 2 on my wish list. Hopefully I will get it in a month or so. I have looked for the Cold Steel Scimitar but can't find it in stock anywhere. Would like to get one of those as well.

I just came across Boker Fellow. It might be persian enough for you.

I checked out the non-auto Bedlam at Plaza last weekend, i liked it and it felt good in the hand. It isnt cheap but the build quality and shock&awe value are high (and yes it was very sharp).
My friend got this one for me while stationed in the middle east. Not sure if it's Persian but when else would i get a chance to show it.

Spyderco is the way to go as you "can not beat it" ~~ I have one Engraved and 2 plain -- hmmmm I must of liked them.! lol

Spyderco Persian looks wicked, just wished that it was screwed together, instead of pin construction.

That's reminiscent of the shabaria.

The Cold Steel Scimitar is my EDC. It is light weight, sharp enough to skin a fish, and for its size , is easily concealed. I love it! I've carried it for about 5 years now. Not a single complaint.

Here we have a Greco and American KAMI. The Kami is sort of tanto persian style blade and the Greco has a 9 inch blade with a real nice belly on it. The thinner handle design real makes it light and fast in hand.

What is it about the Al Mar Shiva (shown above) that makes it Persian? It does not look particularly Persian to me. Neither does the Greco above.

Does the presence of a belly on a blade make it a Persian to some?

If you're interested in a custom, Mel Nishiuchi makes a great Persian liner-lock with excellent fit and finish.
