Would anyone else love to see another run of Persians, this time in the new stonewashed finish? Or at the least a run of the standard black? Anyone have any info as to why they are no longer produced?

EDIT: Just wanted to make everyone aware, at this time there is a list being taken by Emerson knives for a possible run of Persian's if the demand is there. To get your name on the list simply email Emerson Knives Inc at: Info@EmersonKnives.com

Ah! It took me forever to track down an Emerson Persian (yeah I missed the boat on this model as I only started collecting knives about 4/5 months ago after a 20 years hiatus from it and the Persian was already gone from the Emerson lineup) and get it.

I would LOVE to see another Persian run (when I sent back the warranty card on my new Gentleman Jim, under the section called "suggestions" or something like that, I wrote "Please start producing the Persian folder again!"), especially if they would do one with a satin blade. Maybe, just maybe even with a frame lock...drool...

Your talking now!

I have a persian and think it's just too big. As such mine has seen no use (it was bought with the intention of an EDC).
I'd love to see a mini persian.

I had a Persian but gave it to my father for his birthday and it quickly replaced his EDC. I'd really like to get another for myself.

If Emerson made a frame lock HD Persian I'd come in my pants.

Wave it this time.

Hey CM, how can you wave a Persian? Wouldn't it look out of place?

But +1 for another run of Persian in Stonewashed please :D

On;ly way I can think of would be to utilize the thumbdisk hole and attach something sorta like the Spyderco Pikhal. The best case scenario would be a run of Persians with the a standard Emerson wave hook.

Yep adding a wave would definitely work but I don't think it look neat anymore...

but I guess you gotta give 1 or the other.

COME ON Mr. Emerson!!!! GRANT THIS AS AN X-MAS WISH FOR US PERSIAN LOVERS!!!!

I too would like to see a run of the Persians.
After searching for along time for one. I have (almost) given up.
Yes!!! Bring IT!!! Please:D:D

you guys can call emerson right now and get on the list there is a mouse running around EMERSON KNIVES about a run of PERSIANs... I did get on the list , there is no set time thats being leaked out yet??? so lets make some calls and get that list moving !!! I did get some info That SEN'SI Emerson is going to be making some changes in the company???

BT, no wave; just like the old days.

I agree a wave would "spoil" the lines. I am very pleased that so many spoke up about the longing of a Persian. I hope Mr. Emerson considers a run of Persians with the stonewashed finish as an option, as that would be the business.

How about a shrouded wave like the Super Raven? Only visible when closed.

Yea I fell in love with this tactical folder. Placed an order through knifepro.com, availability at the time said usually takes about a month to ship, guessing because they have to track it down. Ordered November 22nd so we will see if they are able to track one down for me or if I am just going to get my money back.

It is still processed, not shipped; and currently the availability is out of stock.http://knifepro.com/store/pc/Emerson-Persian-Folder-Knife-Black-Standard-Edge-Blade-2p7537.htm

If Emerson makes another go with these, I may have to buy at least one even if I luck out and knifepro is able to send me one.

Wicked blade.

It's been out of production for a while. I don't want to rain on your parade but your chances of getting one thru any dealer is just about zero (the "takes a month to ship" says it all. I don't think Emerson will make a one off for knifepro.com...).

I tell you this because I have been in your same spot some 4 months ago. In all honesty, the only thing you can do, if you want to buy online, is to keep a keen eye on eBay and hope one will come up for sale.

So far in the past 4 months, 2 came up for sale on eBay. The first one had a ridiculous (IMO) buy it now of $499.99!!! I don't know if anyone shelled out that amount of dough for it, as I didn't follow this auction.
The 2nd didn't have a buy it now and started at $0.00 (it was NIB, made in 2008). I bid on it and snatched it at $180. I know it's more than what they used to go before production was stopped (not talking about MSRP, I know that was $207), but it's a hell of a lot better than 500 bucks. And indeed it was absolutely NIB, a very nice piece.
I have been checking regularly (on a daily basis, to be precise) for another one to come up for sale, as I'd like to have another one (but only if it's NIB) and none have come up at all.

So, if you really want this knife, you need luck and a LOT of patience...
