Pet Peeve

I agree, that's a beautiful Halfrich folder there, was surprised to not see the notch...
Nice ;)

Jerry doesn't usually put a choil on his LB-5's. This one (similar to the one that Vince owns) doesn't have a nail nick either.

I noticed that Tim Wright doesn't put nail nicks on his folders.

Gary, you and I know how Tim feels about the evil choil :D

This is not an issue with me at all, If there is something about a knife that I don't like, I just don't buy it. There are to many knives out there to choose from to nit pic. IMO.

Pet peeve - when the cutting edge of the blade doesn't use all of the available blade length.

I'll second that one. This is especially irk-some when the stated blade-length is the available length, e.g. when a maker states a 4-inch blade, but in reality the cutting edge is only 3.25-inch.

Understood, but, from those you don't like, there would be something that
would fall into a pet peeve to prevent you from buying them?

And yes, many many knives to choose from as well as commisioning one to
be made to your specific needs too! A very good thing!

just got this one in today from Lucas Burnley, small neck knife;
2 1/2" blade of CPM 154 steel, nicely done with a kydex neck sheath and chain.

Lucas handles this nicely with a very gentle sweep before the edge,
so material will not get hung up as you go to cut

and on a totally different Pet Peeve type of list,

I really dislike folks, well not the people themselves
but the action of placing the toilet paper on with the
paper feeding towards the wall and not out towards the End user,
pun intended ;)

Ahhhh...pet peeves in general. Well...

- I dislike when someone posts a picture or series of pictures, and then someone else "quotes" his post and leaves the pictures in! It's just too much for my little 28.8 dial-up.

- I dislike when I open a thread that appears interesting, only to find that the Original Poster says something like: "This is something you must see!" (or something similar) but then, instead of describing it, they post an internet link! So you have to go open that link if you care to find out what's so interesting!

- I dislike it when people don;t list where they're from in the "location" field, but then they ask a question in their post where, the only reasonable way to give a decent answer is to know where they are!

- Finally, I dislike cheap, thin, easily-tearable toilet paper...... ((( :D )))

Don't mind the bits of dust on the blades but as you can see, both blades
have very small or slight notches before the edge, nice knife, a Case Barlow
two blade with stag scales;

And yes Stretch, some of those general pet peeves are amongst in my long list too...:)
