Phil Wilson Custom in CPM S110V

Without doubt Finn would like running around with you. You really have to pay attention to him though. He'll try moving in on your women right in front of you. He's got the charm to make it work too. Don't underestimate the big furry guy. :)

He keeps me out of trouble though. Without him to keep me sane I'd likely be getting myself in positions I don't have the money and lawyers to get out of. :(

As a note do you notice a stronger matrix and better edge stability with cobalt containing steels of similar carbide fractions and hardness?

Just curious. I feel I get less, for lack of a better term microchipping. Those things you can barely see but feel like serrations on the extreme edge.

Joe

Joe,

Yeah Finn is rotten for sure, but in a good way. :D

No, not really better edge stability since they develop the toothy working edge so it's hard to say.

Jim

Allow me to continue living in my dream world - I'm the first to see the title of this post - Jim is selling this knife - I'll take it! OK, just had to get that out. Looking forward to your, what I'm sure will be great, test results. Thanks again for your efforts (the testing, not the torment). Mike

It's doing very well sofar, started the rope cutting phase last night.

Mighty sweet knife.

Phil is doing a collaboration with Spyderco for an S90V version of a similar design with a round butt and a choil.

Yes I know, I have a South Fork, not in S90V though.

Love that knife, hoping that the Gen 2 spyderco version may carry 110V, but the S90 will be good enough. Hope you enjoy, I am eagerly awaiting your review.

I'll be *very* interested to see how this one performs. Not good or bad, just how good it is. :D Congrats, that's a great looking knife!

S90V will be awesome in the Collaberation. :)

Jim, when you test the Carpenter version of S30V with the cobalt, see if you notice any difference under a loupe.
