Philippines-Jungle Survival Trip

Great post as usual bro! I always dig you posts from the Philippines. With my loathing of airports I live vicariously through your travels around the globe. The bbq bats definitely look interesting, no way to cut off the teeth first huh? I can see where the cobras might put a damper on the frog hunting, I believe I'd lose interest in it pretty quick under those conditions myself. That lower bolo in the last pics of the 3 bolos, the one with the "dramatic curved drop", is the exact blade shape I have been looking for since I watched the first video of a JEST instructor teaching the bamboo fire saw years ago. If you get a chance to pick up one with that blade shape again let me know and I'll buy it or trade you for it.

Ok, I know this may seem silly, but I have a question about eating the bbq bats.
With critters that small, do you just eat the entire thing, bones and all (because the bones'll get all crisp like fries), or do you try to nibble the meat off? It seems like a LOT of work to strip the meat off, but I'm not sure if any of the diseases bats can carry are blood borne or not.
