J Just Tom. what knife is this? Love the creativity, and the knife! I have a thing for saws for some odd reason...

It’s a faux-stag Mikov I got at a deep discount from a stateside dealer, on a tip from euroken . Here is a screenshot from the manufacturer’s website:

The action is a little mushy on the main blade, but it is a solid piece, and came with a really nice leather belt pouch.

I want to thank everyone who participated in this Giveaway. There were some outstanding submissions, some of which look like they belong in an art show. Also inspiring was the number of entrants who submitted photos as a proxy for others. The generosity of the porch is always great to see.

I would like to give an “honorable mention” to Heathenhymnal . Several fantastic submissions, all with great lighting, sharpness, color and balance. Just great photos to look at.

I took these pictures of Chippy in the Fall of 2019 as I was just starting to post more regularly here.

I still remember how that little bit of magic that happened on the trail that day lifted my spirits.

That day was certainly out of the ordinary.
I just found another picture taken just a few moments after Chippy's photos.

Google tells me the bird is a White-breasted nuthatch.
That was the only time I got so close to one of them as they are quite shy (unlike the chickadees lol )
