Photo Competition- GEC Giveaway - WINNER ANNOUNCED

Congrats to CelloDan and thx to Ellis for the great GAW. I have never entered a Giveaway before, but I couldn't resist a photo competition.

1. To enter, post a picture you took of a traditional knife to this thread. Picture must include a traditional knife. Background and other subject matter is up to you.

I want to thank everyone who participated in this Giveaway. There were some outstanding submissions, some of which look like they belong in an art show. Also inspiring was the number of entrants who submitted photos as a proxy for others. The generosity of the porch is always great to see.

I would like to give an “honorable mention” to @Heathenhymnal. Several fantastic submissions, all with great lighting, sharpness, color and balance. Just great photos to look at.

So many beautiful images shared ! The Porch is a wonderful place with amazing people !

I took these pictures of Chippy in the Fall of 2019 as I was just starting to post more regularly here.

I still remember how that little bit of magic that happened on the trail that day lifted my spirits.

Critters can get mighty brave when morsels are at stake !
I used to have a pair of Chipmunks that were used to seeing me in the woods and they made a game of running between my legs and across my boots. When I stocked the suet feeder ... a Downey Woodpecker would land within arm's reach of me ......... wanting to be first for breakfast ..... every time ! :thumbsup: 🦫 😊
