Photo Contest

Irfanview (as mentioned earlier) is a simple way to change the attributes.

And welcome to bladeforums Paul :)

I just want to say thanks again!, I got the RC-4 in the mail and I love it! Can't wait to get the Izulu!!!!!!!!!

I'll get them up when I get a chance. To be honest with you, this will probably be the last photo contest. I'm tired of people not following the rules then getting upset at me for telling them to read the rules. One out of every two entries either doesn't give me their address with the photos or fails to size them properly, thus adding more work for us, and we're simply trying to give knives away. It is AMAZING to me that people cannot read.

So do I understand that there will not be another contest this year? I just got my RC-6 and want to do some glamor shots of in in action. When will the last contest be held?

We will probably let it go through the last quarter of this year and then pull the plug on it. Will come up with a different contest. Something that is easier for everyone to read and follow the rules ;)

I'll try to get to the photos this week if I have time.

Jeff

Are you still running the contest threw the 4th quarter? I am sumitied entries but i am not sure I sized them right I made the longest part 600 pixles but I had no idea how to set up the 72dpi or whatever it is.

Congrats to the winners. They were all great pics.

Congrats to the winners. My question is this. Are studio shots really allowed? The chosen pics are all attached to wood, which is fine. From an outside observer looking in, it's obvious that you'd rather see the knives in use - again, totally fine. But if it's gonna lean that way, take out the "studio shots allowed" rule and make it only for hard use/outdoor pics.

It's not what I prefer. They're judged by a photographer for sharpness, lighting, composition, etc. The chosen photos were deemed to be the best from the lot because of that, not because of what they were doing.
