Pictures here! Photo Thread!

I am now in complete and unbridled possession of the greatest of coveted things!!

A foolishly naive individual entrusted me with his DMC re-grind Resilience!
I will never surrender it! I shall change my name and move to a distant third world country! I will pay tens of thousands for cosmetic surgery! I will entire the vilest of criminal enterprises, withdraw, and snitch them all out so that I may enter FBI Witness Protection Program!! Never will I be seen again with the DMC Resilience Re-Grind!

Or...I'll get back together with Brother Blindmouse 2of3 and give it back over lunch with a handshake with a sincere "Thank you!" Whichever is easiest at the moment. He was kind enough to lend it to me so I can enjoy it, handle it, and understand it better. So far I've put an excellent edge back on it and taken a good picture. I am mightily partial to it, though I'll never own it, and that's fine too.

That is a pretty darn handsome fixed blade. I got notions of a hunting knife floating in my head these days. Sumpthing like that in the venerated Magnacut or 3V might make an awful decent starting point.

Oh, and the work thing? I'm actually pretty fortunate. I work a minimum of 84 hours a week , but then I have a whole week off. That means if I take leave, I get three weeks off, but it only costs me one! The beginning of that week of work can seem like an awful steep climb, but it's entirely worth it.

In other news, the Fat Badger is no longer mine, but belongs to a certain visually challenged rodent that visits around here. He made me an offer I could not resist. But...it did gain me the precious David Mary Resilience Regrind. Now, I just gotta gather enough pennies for another Fat Badger or three. We will have an entire nest of fluffy badgers in Alaska! It will be great! They'll love it up here due to their extra layers!

What a beauty!!! Congrats!

What is the one called and the dimensions? I voted for Magnacut and think this size would be a cool EDC. I also like pickle look of the handle. I am sure I have asked before.

Finally found one, like it and it fits the hand well. What I noticed is that the angle of the blade is similar to a kukuri, thus the name I guess, Sirupetite.

This photo is shamelessly lifted* from Cwilliams563 Cwilliams563 . I just did it to say that the DMC looks right at home betwixt the CPK and the CRK!

* I’ll remove if requested.

I have no issues and thanks for posting it.

This pic is after I’ve applied some coats of mineral oil on the scales of the DM Wharnie and has absorbed. It really makes the Black shine, the OD Green color come out, and makes the white liners and spacers pop more.

This Wharnanimous is awesome! I wish it had a nice S&F sheath for it (and considered it, but the time frame didn’t lend itself very well to it initially). I think it really deserves one. If I do send it to Coleman Sharp & Fiery Sharp & Fiery at some point, I’m just afraid I may not get it back for copyright infringements 😆

I appreciate the offer. Lots of cobwebs in my basement and attic, some paint and wallpaper around the house, bunch of rocks in the garden, and if I can think of anything else I'll let you know. You're a real pal!
