GREAT Pic's!!!!

THANKS for sharing with those of us who couldn't go!

I would love to go through the jungle training class, but with work, family and finaces, it may not happen.

Hey Jeff - just out of curiosity, when you go on these training missions, do you go to the same place every time, or do you mix it up to keep it challenging for you and your fellow instructors as well? Which is more important, the extra element of safety that familiarity with the area brings, or the extra learning potential that comes from watching the instructors also have to adapt to unfamiliar surroundings?

Excellent pictures, Jeff. Every picture you posted is truly a good picture, which I really appreciate. You seem to have an eye for a good picture. Although I do love seeing pictures of everybody's adventures, I get tired of seeing pictures that are out of focus, poorly composed, etc. Out of curiosity, what kind of camera do you take to the jungle?

They almost make me want to go to the jungle. Almost. Nebraska and the plains are just fine for me, thank you very much!

Looks freaking beautiful!

Good to see you back as well

We go to various places down there but the jungle doesn't vary that much so it's not any more challenging to change locations. About the only differences are low jungle vs. high jungle, low water season vs. high water season.

Thanks for answering Jeff, that's a nice setup you have. Got a Nikon D60 over the summer, will be getting an 18-105mm lens for it sometime. The kit lens sucks, but it works for now.

Finally got them FTP'd to our server for those who were whining that they didn't have a Facebook account. I have come to the conclusion that people will complain no matter what. I guarantee if we started giving away free knives today, people would find a reason to bitch about it.

Thanks for the pictures Jeff, they are awesome. I really appreciate you posting them. Sorry about all the "whining and bitching" I did in stating that I didn't have a facebook account and therefore was unable to see the pictures.

Nice pics! It was neat being able to follow your progress down there from your SPOT locator. One of these years when I have some time I'm going to make it down there for one of your trips.

Peru was amazing. It was like the Everglades, on crack and speed. It was really a mind altering experience, as ever single animal I saw there was new and had its own neat little feature. It was like someone took bugs and put them in a blender, and then spat them out, and there you go: A wasp that acts like a butterfly and looks like a toad. The company wasn't so bad either, as Jeff and Mike did a great job putting together a course that was both challenging and fun for everyone there. I got to use my machete more than I ever dreamed and loved every second of it. I'm going to need a crow bar next time to pry myself from the jungle. Thanks RAT!!!!!

Excellent pics! The Piranha have a serious set of pearly whites and i think the pics of the local kids are great.

This was the best group we have ever had down there. Hard core group of guys that wanted to learn. Joe is just non-stop but one of the best I've seen in that environment.
