Nice pics! It was neat being able to follow your progress down there from your SPOT locator. One of these years when I have some time I'm going to make it down there for one of your trips.

Same here, when I get the time and spare cash (like that'll happen anytime soon...) I'm going. Always looks like it's a great time, and the scenery looks amazing. Oh well, for the time being I've got these pics to help me dream...

Glad everyone had a good time and everyone made it back in one piece!

Funny, I kind of thought the same thing, only with two Bolo Machete's instead ears, and two machete's in each hand, and five or six in his pack...

Yeah, the non-stop thing is there and I hope my hyperactive enthusiasm didn't get on too many peoples nerves. It was information and input overload as Jeff and Mike took the jungle and crammed it down our throats with multiple machete usage task, navigation/laceration celebrations, and more fish that you could shake a fishing kit at! I am glad I used up all that energy, because now I am here behind a laptop wishing I was back in the jungle. I have no regrets that I stayed up at night to see all the cool sites down there, or wasted a few hours on building a raft that floated like the titanic. The fact that you can just go grab cordage off the trees and work wood that splits like it was made for a machete was a JOY!

I'm pretty proud of myself down in Iquitos. I only came back with 28 additional machetes this time around. I'm slowly cutting down. You should have saw the look on the guys face when I wanted to trade a brand new machete for one of his used ones.
