CNC milled C2 curvature continuous surface geometry...

Our plunge has gotten quite good, if I do say so myself...

The old Field Knife had a conventional tangent plunge. The HDFK is an experiment in a different kind of geometry there. This picture is kinda cool because you can see the difference. The old tangent point is more distinct.

I'm playing with my prized Carothers like a lil girl playing with dolls today (and don't tell me most of you girlie-men do not! :p) so thought time for some photos instead of watching the NFL (my team moved, good riddance so I'm now a free-agent so I have 31 teams I would root for and 1 which I won't!!!).

Anywhooo, pics were taken indoors, no filters and no retouches other than rotating and resizing: (more to come from the handle scales individual close ups)

^^^ the Shiv is not cerakoted, just the shadow of my fat belly is strategically in the way just because Mr' B^2 has those gorg cerokoted versions and I'm a bit jelly :p

^Three great knives, with outstanding scales all around. Beautiful wood, but there is something spectacular about the milled steps of the Shiv scales. My fav.

And what a coup, Nathan finding all that antique micarta, and bringing out it's magnificence through edge cutting.

The Utility Fighter's (UF) handle scales are in Cocobolo and I think it took Nathan quite a bit of exposing them in the Sunlight in order to to achieve the desirable look (he can correct me or elaborate if he wishes):
