.45-70 is correct! Those are the 430 grain bear loads. I switch between my .30-.30, , .308 and my .45-70 during deer season.

And yes, the @grogimus sheath is a work of art! It's very unique and slowly being formed to the shape of the knife. I love this thing!

Not a very good one, but here you go.

Winchester, made in 1941. Originally chambered in .30-.30. Someone long before my father owned it had it rechambered/rebored to .444 Marlin.

Want to give a HUGE thanks to Grogimus for sending me this sheath for participating in the HDFK sheath giveaway contest.

I have been continually surprised by the caliber of CPK knives, but more recently surprised by the caliber of the people here on this sub-forum also.

You all know the quality of Grogimus’ leather sheaths, so I won’t do a whole review. But I do want to say that, in general, I’m not easily impressed, but this sheath is very, very well done. I’m impressed. Thanks again Grogimus!
