Dialing in the geometry on a Keffeler competition Chopper. This is actually some of the most challenging modeling I've done getting it right, it's very nuanced.

but seriously, is the handle textured differently near the pommel? I looks diamond quilted, or is that just an optical illusion caused the interference of the plies of the handle material? <Micarta, I think?>

My only complaint with the HDFK; the recessed lanyard area in the micarta gets snow/ice build up especially on the sled ride into work. Thinking of filling it with Shoe Goo or something that won’t fully bond to the steel/scales. Thoughts or solutions anyone? May not be an issue for you southern folk...

There are no current solutions so just sell the knife to me and I'll live with it because I'm one of those southern folks.

You might try some Beeswax melted in there. I think it would 'winter' just fine. Not sure about how it would 'summer.'
