Of interest to some, and particularly enjoyed by me, is to have watched the color change of the Westinghouse micarta in both the dagger and field knife. The micarta in the dagger came from the core of a roll, while the micarta in the field knife is from the same roll of Westinghouse, but from the outside, having been exposed there to oxygen, thus the difference in color, with both pieces seeing change.

Where is the FK Bob? All I can see is the Dagger! I see Dagger, Dagger, then I close my eyes, and there is the dagger again. Then I wake up in the morning, and still all I see is the dagger. Did I mention I really, really like that dagger?

What was all this about a dagger? I see a field knife next to my pointy thing....OOHHH....you mean the DAGGER! Probably just need to wait until Nathan puts up a list for Dagger pre-orders.:D:D

Or have enough patience to wait until the Cascadia fault slips, at which time it might become a notch or two lower on your list.

But I must admit that your continual inquiries have at least put you in the position of having the right of first refusal should I ever put it up for sale, which is unlikely to happen anytime before the Cascadia fault slips.

Bob

I spent 6 hours in the bush on Sunday, cutting a line that I've been working on for the past couple years. Once a line is cut, it's time to start building trail, and I'm excited about this particular corridor- it'll be a challenging ride, will have some amazing views and it'll flow like water.

nice to have some great blades!

my #1, hands down, ultimate trail blade- the North Sword, made by Dan Keffeler of PD#1 from my design

one of the more scenic viewpoints

CPK LightChopper ain't no slacker!

Whenever I see your trail videos, I reminisce about my days spent trail building, my old pair of Santa Cruz frames, how I miss them. One day I have to come over there and put around.

I am currently spending my weekends hunting the flea markets and antique shows for an old Warenski, and my late nights prowling Ebay. Once I find one, I plan to use it as trade bait. I know you won't be able to resist! I might not have as much time as the Cascadia fault zone, but I am more determined!

If Nathan puts up a Dagger list, OH my there will be some Drama. I will pay some hackers to get into his account to put me first in line!

We'll ocasionaly work up some "fancy" scales material to keep things interesting here in the shop. I have some more of that pretty dark brown vintage "old as dirt" micarta that we used here a while back:

So today I was sawing up a bar of it to slab it into scales for the EDC

And look what I found inside:

I have no idea how that's going to work out as scales, but it certainly looks interesting on the saw.

It will all eventualy turn that dark brown color. It's a very old bar and I thought the color had seeped all the way through it, so I was very surprised to find that amount of contrast in there.

bet it would look rad on a knife with a big handle...

Don't know what it is about that vintage stuff, but I think it looks absolutely gorgeous.

If you happen to monkey two pieces up that would fit a Field Knife or the LC, please do not hesitate to let me know. :D

I would buy a set immediately.

Congrats George!
My score is still in transit.. but should be here any day now. :)

Congrats to you as well! I've seen you in the mix in the Friday sales. Glad to see you finally scored as well.
Isn't it time for Scandinavian Gathering 2016? I'm determined to make it one year.

Thanks!

Would be cool if we managed to get a bunch of people to take the trip across the pond for a gathering.
