New/unused natural micarta vs. some old and worn!

Haven't been around for a while; been riding a desk all winter and swamped with work thankfully. To you all who work office jobs, I commend you. Has taken a lot of adjusting to being inside for work Mon-Fri - can't wait for the field work to start in the next couple of weeks.

Will be getting these back to the bush soon enough (and hopefully the new FK with squared spine hint hint @Nathan the Machinist !!)
