For the sake of being technically correct, that end bit is actually a pry bar ;) Further, I wouldn’t rely on that as an emergency vehicle glass breaking tool!

As an originalist, the OGFK is still my favorite aesthetically speaking but some of the bigger boys in here (with larger hands) prefer the new iterations of the FK because of their more ergonomic handle scales with the palm swell.

Hey originalist I just saw you scored sweet OGFK. Congrats ;)

I know that you will.
I know it like I know that I'm going in woods tomorrow for some testings with my wakizashi and fk2 :)

Well, it's a done deal as far as I am concerned ONLY if I hear back from the potential seller and if not already spoken for. I'd like to keep it in the family even though the pre D3V and pre CPK version (the moniker CPK came to be born after Nathan established a subforum on this Site in the June of 2016) but still no slouch to sneeze at!

As for your wandering the Georgia (not our Georgia but the original one ;) ) I must say that I am very envious. I do OK where I live but these are mere urban-suburban line hills in comparison. Enjoy your wandering in your Naturesque settings :)

I had a 2" blade in the woods the other day carving sticks with the kids. Someone walked past and I was genuinely anxious the rest of the walk I had been reported.

Haven't been around too much lately. Life is like that. I have, however, been working on my freehand sharpening game. I've got a few knives that I can get an honest "hair whittling" edge. My FK2 is there. This was done with the extra fine triangle rod from a sharpmaker, and a green loaded strop.

Stay safe and keep 'em sharp, friends.
