My first Carothers has arrived, thanks to 91bravo 91bravo , and to say I am impressed would be an understatement! What a great knife, absolute over kill for my modest uses but life is just too short for cheap crappy knives. Pictured here with my EDC Umnumzaan, I cant think of anything in my knife using world that these two cant take care of. That of course wont stop me from using and enjoying the UF2 I just bought….

I don’t regret doing it as I know it made some guys happy, but, I have let several of these go over the past few years when guys posted up that they were looking for one in the BST thread. These last two won’t be going anywhere.

Basic Field Knife, or in this case, knives…..

All in D3V as it should be. Black canvas or natural micarta. These were modestly appointed knives that were destined for Amazon that ended up being sold here on BF instead when Nathan decided that Bezos was already rich enough. The two in the middle are “Ghetto Grind” BFKs. Now to me, putting a grind like that on a basic knife is like putting spinner hubcaps on a Geo Metro, but hey, Nathan digs it, so gimme two!

You have my two favorite combos on the HDFK. I had those same ones at one time. You made wise choices for the last two survivors. 👍
