<<< Just beautiful stuff Mr. Betzner.

OTOH, I don't think that EDC with the vintage micarta has been traded yet. The word "sold" in the post, to me, indicates that it was the first one sold on that particular Friday Sale thread which was started by Nathan. I could be wrong though!

Mat, thanks for pointing that out. You're right, I think I mis-read it. Unfortunately, I don't have enough of an excess of LC's to do a trade, but sure like the looks of that EDC to go with the FK edgecut. I really like pairing up the old micartas that way. And the Westies. And the black micarta. And the ----on and on and on.

Thanks again for mentioning,

Bob

^^^ If anyone is resourceful with abundance to make that happen, it will be none other than you Sir. So come on Bob, work that magic and make it happen. That Lil vintage micarta will look great next to your VM FK. Time perhaps to call upon Justin for a favor? ;)

Mat, shortly after I thanked you in the above post, I was pm'ed by another Carothers lover/subforum dude who was looking for a particular trade not involving an LC, but rather something that worked well for both of us. And we made it fit well! And I STILL ended up with an edgecut vintage micarta EDC to go along with my now matching FK.

Thanks again!

Bob

Glad that it did Bob. Personally speaking, my biggest obstacle and trepidation going for a vintage handle is that with my addictive personality traits, it will not stop there ;)

Received my D2 EDC a few days ago. Fantastic small knife with great ergos!!
My FK is pre Delta 3V and one of my absolute favourite knives!! The FK is going to have to fight the EDC for belt time!!

My advice is to keep after 'em until you get 'em all.

If this image below had a title, it would be "Almost There":

Haha, you got that right, Ivan. But I have another deal working, so it'll fill in sooner or later, hopefully sooner, probably later, no matter. I almost did a trade for one, but it just didn't work out. Still cursing over that deal.

I'm 100% certain you are never without a deal working for something. You don't get the stuff you do by sitting idly by.

Spring Break for the kids this week and I took off as well. Allowed me to do some yard cleanup including trimming back eight 40 ft tall crepe myrtles. Yes, this was extreme pruning and not something I would have needed to do if it was done a little at a time. We'll see what happens.

I needed to reduce the trimmed limbs to sections no longer than 5 ft for easy removal and ended up using only two tools. A chainsaw for the initial cuts and for the limb sections greater than about 2 inches. The LC was used for everything else and worked wonderfully. Anything less than about 1 3/4" in diameter required no more than a single chop. After a couple of hours of use I am even more impressed than I was before.

At one point I turned around and realized that my son (6 years old) had disappeared with a fair amount of wood. I was quickly informed that no, that wasn't fuel for the fire pit but logs for the cabin he was planning to build.

Industrious little guy.

Grats on the pickup Gus. I'd say you are probably one of the biggest collectors of CPK now. Or maybe I mean one of the best collections.

+1 on that pick up Gus. I think that you have already amassed a very impressive collection of rare CPK patterns both past and present
