Yeah the CPK addiction is already in full swing. I have a magnacut DEK1 that should be here tomorrow!

I went back and forth between the UF2 and DEF so looks like I may need to grab a DEF too. I think they are definitely different enough to justify having both!

I have been loving my magnacut DEK1! It's a great knife. Holds up really well to rough use.

I’m very happy to hear that! I don’t intend on it babying it or it being a safe queen. It’s going to be my main fixed blade EDC and it’s going to get used. I went with a swedge and unbuffed natural canvas micarta scales. I think it should be perfect for my needs!

Mine has the swedge as well!

I had to use it the cut a good amount of landscaping material in rocky sand. It dulled and knicked the blade edge pretty significantly, but it actually faired much better than I expected it to.
A quick sharpening session fixed it and it was as good as new.

I don't think I'll come close to matching those any time soon! Right place, right time. I was very fortunate.

Redclay , congrats ! It has the perfect size and weight, is real easy to carry, there’s nothing it can’t do. My puppies agree (older photo, those scales are now waiting for my DEF):

It had been a long time since this UF2 had been sharpened ( if ever ). It is back to laser beam status. Slicing through phone book paper super smoothly.

Got my DEK in and once again I’m floored. Looks like I’ll be needing one in 3V now too… I see how these can multiply FAST!

It’s going to join my Umnumzaan today for the EDC setup.
