Photos! Post your CPK photos here!

It’s an excessive amount of field knives.
I’m sure some guys are thinking, “Damn, I’d like to get just one Carothers field knife, and this fool has six.”
Well, you are right.
But I’ve been hanging around here for a while and stuff just starts to accumulate.
I only bought the FK1 because it’s an FK1 in D3V. And it was local.
The green terotuff is the main user and has been on a good amount of backpacking trips.
The full on basic BK5 has also been used… or I sold the one that was used. Can’t be sure.
The ones I haven’t used are the FK3 (just got it today), Hard/thin FK2, and a BK5 in Cruwear that got Scrimgeoured.
I’m not going to lie. I’ll probably never use that last one. The hollow grind is too pretty and only meant to be admired. I’m sure that wasn’t Mark’s intention, but it is definitely the result. I feel similarly about my Scrimgeour Reaper, but I have used it. At work. And then I rushed home and cried while apologizing to, and cleaning the knife.
If I’m able to get a second Reaper I will treat one of them like a CPK EDC.
From my perspective, there are a lot of folks on this sub forum and many others that have astounding collections, sometimes with many duplicates, but that never stopped me from getting pretty much whatever I wanted. In fact several of you have gone out of your way to help me find something I was looking for (sometimes from someone not particularly looking to sell) as well as providing great advice on what to do to enhance my odds. Great group of folks here. Get as many as you want buddy and keep those pictures coming.

This happened today. One of my favorite knife “this happened today” moments. Granted, CPK has that affect on folks, but really, this shit right here makes me very happy.

Much thanks to D dericdesmond and A afr . Of course, CPK gets the props galore.

What scales did you put on that DEK 3 bad boy? Appears some nice wood. It looks 🔥

I picked up a very special one from the Post Office today. TBH, it is a knife that I never thought I’d own, but timing and money is everything lol.

Hard to beleive or see from the pics just how stout and substantial the Reaper is! I measured the spine at .189” and the DEK 2 is .200” and they’re right at the same weight 😮. Beautiful set of Burlap scales on this perty gal.

That’s actually very well put lol! First thing I noticed was how heavy it was for it’s size.

It just feels much heavier and beefier than it should or you’d think. Probably cuz there’s not the cutouts in the tang like the others’.

It’s stout but handles and carries very well given its size. I think the slight angle in the handle as well as the deep hollow grind play a big part. For me, it’s very similar to my DEK 1 which says a lot given the thickness and weight differences.

Congrats on securing one! You’ll love it more and more every time you handle it!
