Amazing pictures in this thread! Does anyone have a photo of what the VIP scales look like as they darken? I find them too light to begin with for my personal taste but I’m curious what color they drift to after time and use. Thanks!

Look at the back of this thread, starting last page going backwards, lots of pics of the VIP both Crunchy (exposed to air and elements, thus darker) & non-crunchy, a lighter, almost watered down peanut butter color (that will darken with time and exposure to crunchy color).

I’ve gone back about 20 pages but only saw ones that had that darkened layer from the mothership. I was curious if there were any where the full scale had darkened or if that takes decades

They are a brand new product this year, the non exposed VIP (since milling) hasn’t had a chance to change colors yet.

Here is mine.

This is non crunchy. Note the darkening of the scales at the rear due to exposure (luck of the draw/cut).
