Photos - Survive - Gear GSO 4.1 in M390 Full review and testing.

Thanks for the great review Ankerson! Been looking at these Survive knives and pondering 3V or M390 but your testing makes the M390 look like a really good choice.

I ordered one in s90v and I'm pretty excited. I wonder how it will hold up in wood work?

I see the last post in here was a month ago, but I feel compelled to jump in. As for my background with Survive! Knives, I have 3 of my own. I have the 4.1 in both M-390 and 3V, as well as a 5.1 in 3V. Yes, you could say I'm a bit obsessed with them. My buddy saw me using mine on a wild pig hunt in Colorado, and decided he had to have one. They absolutely ROCK!! I have used mine to baton through logs, make fizz sticks, then use with my ferro rod to start a campfire. I have butchered wild boar, and even pried with them. They are, for the money and intended use, THE best knives I have ever owned. I have replaced my other knives I used to carry (company is named after him, three different sub-families, uses a super tough though proprietary steel) with Survive! Knives. I would sell any knife I have before my Survive!

Can you PM me (or post) on which knives you used to carry?

I am, I just didn't want to be perceived as talking bad about any other companies. They are great blades, I like them a ton. I have several of them, and wouldn't put them down. I just REALLY like the Survive! stuff. Not a knock on anyone else. YMMV.
