Looks damn fine to me. What do you guys think?

Here is the webpage that features the knife:

Very nice:)
I was afraid I'd click on this, and see Kraton!
4 different blade lengths, too! Outstanding.
Been looking for something like that.

Are you going to have these, and if so, when do they come out?

Very nice! I'd give thought to buying one.

The lines of the blade and guard are somewhat similar to a CS Trailmaster, with a little longer false edge. The stacked leather handle looks kind of like a Marbles style feature. The buttcap reminds me of SOGs.

The laminated VG10 sounds especially interesting.

Looks very very nice 420J2 and VG-10!

Has anyone seent that 'mine clearance' knife? Mine clearance my aunt! Firstly its sharp STEEL!

Looks like clearing sentries rather than mines if you ask me...:p

Heck of a knife though! I really want one of those bad boys!:D

Whats the overall length of the knife in inches and that of the blade?

Oh and how much will the bowie knife be?

Hey, x-actly my thought, my experience with mineclearing is that anything remotely sharp will be dulled within a few minutes of prodding.
I'd be really interested in knowing the intended use for that knife.

It looks nasty :)

It looks like a trailmaster. That said, I want one. Does anyone know when they will be available and the MSRP?

I liked it UNTIL I saw the handle - I hate stacked leather. It looks slippery, just like all my knives with stacked leather handles.

I'll take Kraton or a similar material any day.

The blade looks nice, though...

Looks GREAT! And after having used my A1 over the weekend while back-country camping, I'm totally sold on Fallkniven and their big knives. Looks like I've found my next knife purchase! :)

Thanks, Dennis...

Just kidding. ;)

Hey Guys....

Looks like some nice blades...

Can't wait to wrap some Concealex around those babies..:)

Put your orders in,, I think these will be popular..:)

ttyle

Eric.....

Yes, the absence of kraton is a BIG plus. This knife is everything I want in a working bowie. I'll be ordering one.

I was pretty excited about the Fallkniven Bowie until I read some of the info on the Fallkniven forum, and saw that the price is $430. I have long thought there was a need for a factory Randall style knife made from good stainless steel, to sell at a reasonable price. However, $430 is quite alot more than other Fallkniven products, and one can buy famous name custom knives for that price.
In spot-checking one discount internet site, I saw that once can buy the Fallkniven A1 Survival knife for $110. What would it take to add a few features to that knife resulting in a good, Randall style bowie? Add half an inch or so to the blade length, a double guard, and perhaps a leather or micarta handle. Would these modifications push the the price to $430? Surely such a knife could be made and sold for no more than $200.

Perhaps its the improved QC and the fact it is a laminated steel blade? IIRC the San Mai III blades from Cold Steel (420J2 and 8a) were/are quite expensive. This knife aught to offer a significant improvement in performance over San Mai III.

Also the price has yet to be confirmed for $ price and is based upon the full list converted from selling price in Kroners? As far as I can tell?

I would expect this knife from Internet sellers to be no more than $300, which is still rather a lot of money. Thats Busse prices and I got a custom knife 10" knife in CPM 10V for less than that.

I hope this knife sells for no more than $250 ish or it might die a quick death. The average Randall Knife sells at that price point, and we all know how good they are?

Hi!

I tried my hand at translating some of the information from Swedish to English, hopefully you'll be able to get some additional information from it.

Just posted it in the thread over at KF.

Seems to be good knives :) (as are all Fällkniven knives)

About the price: Average Randall with 10inch SS Blade is not 250$. Sportsmans bowie with 9inch blade is 375 + ss blade additional cost (that was some time age 35$ for smaller blades). So the price is about the same 400+$ with SS blade and stacked leather handle. However one has to wait 3 years to get his/hers Randall. Dealers that have randalls in Stock take about 100$ more than factory.
Actually online dealers will sell these bowies about 100$ cheaper than you are able to get comparable Randall in any time frame.

After saying that I'd still take tool steel Randall over this nice bowie.
