Picked up a Steelcraft Mini-Bodega

Looks like tape residue from sharpening.
Try alcohol on a cloth, that's what I use.
Mine is spotless.:D
Ok. Did that and it did remove some but now I am left with this. Look like scratches to me. Not caused by me either. Just hiding under all that residue

Try rubbing it down with some penetrating oil then alcohol again to remove the oil.
Could be a metal residue, or real scratches. The oil might lift them.
