While many of the compounds ARE too coarse, quite a few of them will produce a mirror finish.

Really. I would like to see how will you polish mirror with 180 grit compound.
Yes quite a bit of them will do mirror polish, but it looks like most of them are Cromium Oxide. I did not check all the links you throw here, of course.
Why are you so desperate? Is it because if my view on Hand Leather Made? I did found it useless for practical honing. - what wrong with this?

Of course having Green Rouge on upholstery leather ($30 for half cow hide) to hone to hair whittling in no time compare to diamonds on Hand American Made (square feet for $20) I do not
really see reason to search all possible compounds.
Until of course you show me that you can get sharpness better then I. So far I did not even see you whittling hair.
