We had our bushbash this weekend from Friday to Sunday. Dave was there since Thursday with his friend Neals. There were only 5 of us that came up this time but we had a really great time. We did some hiking, archery, shooting, plenty of eating and stories around the campfire.. I've never eaten so much while camping!

Here's a shot of the way up:

Oh, man, I'm so bummed I miss this one!

Thanks for the pics, looks like you guys had just as much fun as the first one.

awesome pics Ray... we're still bummed we couldn't make it... lookslike a great time.. it was such a crazy weekend here, i would have much rather been there...:o

Cypress was just looking at the pics and saying he really wants to go back and hang out there again... he loved Sasha and all of his food...:D

i didn't see any pics of Bear, Ray.. did he go??

Sorry I missed this Ray! I feel bad not making it cause I was so close. I had hoped to make it, but have been busy all weekend with family and spent Saturday working on my "dream" shop. KMG should be here soon so you will have to come over and try it out. Once the shop gets going good, maybe we could host a mini Grind-In.

looks like a great time! im hoping the alberta guys will do something like this when its nicer

Ray said that he left Bear to guard the home front!

We had an excellent time. Also practiced some knife and hawk throwing but I don't know whether anyone took any pics.

Looks like fun...really wish I could have made it. I think we need to plan one for the spring. :)

In the near future we'll post on a winter BBIII in the desert, near Anza Borrego (Martin Luther King's birthday weekend). I'm assuming there will also be support for another gathering near Visalia in the Spring. The first one was in early May so something like that would work.

Hell of a lot better than my weekend. Sorry I missed this one guys. Looks like it was nice and relaxing.

Can I pre-register? :)

Christian, Mark was telling me about his new shop set up and it will be awsome.. You will be impressed for sure. He's getting a new loaded KMG so you can learn how to grind properly, unlike me:o

Mike, my wife wanted Bear to stay with her since she was all alone this time. I didn't tell him where I was going so he wouldn't feel bad:D

Sure! I am going to wait till I can get my anvil shipped here and we will do a little forging also, so stay tuned.

isn't it going to cost you a lot of $$$ to get that thing shipped here...

Anza Borrego works great for me. If I take the bike I can be there in less than an hour and a half. Might have to make a side trip up Palomar Mtn. on the way.

Shipping is a little high on anvils... LOL !! Can't wait to meet some more of you guys out here.

I found this guy hitchhiking on the side of the road on my up the mountain. He decided to go home with me.:D That's a Spyderco Endura he's playing with:eek:

I really, really, wish I could have made it. had partial plans up until the last minute. Unfortunately. school intruded. get another one in April and I can work it out. :D

One of the few bummers was that I made a batch of charcloth on Fri. but when we tested it, it didn't seem to want to hold a spark well. I made it out of an old all-cotton Cabela's tennis shirt. It looked and felt fine when it cooled but didn't perform. I've never had that problem before and will have to cook another bunch.
