Hey fellas - as promised here are some pics fromy trip to TN. We didn't have great weather, but we made sure to hit the trails as much as weather and the wife's pregnancy would allow :)

It was a great time. It was a little wierd having to worry about Bears while you are hiking, but I got over that quickly.

First day on the AT - It was a bit foggy and made for a creepy hike.

WOW! that looks like you had a load of fun and you even made out pretty good on the knives too. Thanks for sharing and welcome back.

I hate to point this out now, since it's too late, but you were very close to Smoky Mountain Knife Works, a must see knife store.

Myright, great pic's looks like a great time regardless of the weather. Also nice knives, really really like the Graham!!!

I think he made it there. See the pictures of the Case knives he bought at "SMKW".

Great store. The only downside to buying anything there is the high TN sales tax - 9.25%.

I guess I should read closer before posting. Sorry.

Nice knives. Nice pics. I love the Smokies, but haven't been there for far to long. It's fun to see the pics, though.

Yep, but they give a 10% military discount ;)

Which falls are those? Laurel Falls?

Yep, that is Laurel Falls - pretty easy hike out to them.

We also hit Abrahms Falls which was amazing also - the hike was a lot different getting there. :) Plenty of hills and rocks..... I guess it is the Mountains.. LOL

I have been there.

Which trail were you on?

A few of those pics are off of trails along the Roaring Fork Motor Trail. I don't remember the trail names.

The foggy pics are off of a portion of the AT.

The others are along the Abrams and Laurel Falls trail and some along the Alums Cave Bluffs (I think that's the name)

Man I was at most of those places just a month ago, haha. I wish I was there now. I Went to the SMKW and I bought a Swiss Army Rucksack (backpack) for only 10.00. I also got a Victorinox Rucksack knife. Thats all my wife would let me buy. I had my daughters 11 and 17 with me and my neice 15 and they stayed with me most of the time. I ended up spending problably 50.00 on just my youngest daughter and neice. I bought them some knives also. They love em. My oldest daughter was into clothes. So she didnt care about knives that much. We rented a cabin at Pigeon Forge behind the Applebutter barn. Its nice up there. I love going over the MTNs to Cherokee to Clingmans dome and Cades Cove. I really love that Rolling fork Motor trail. Im glad you had a great time and I love the pics. Thanks for sharing them. I ended up with the flu while I was there and it turned out to be a long drive home. Im glad it all went well for you and your wife and soon to be child.
