well i just got in a few hours ago... i had to unload and take a long shower, i smelled like death...:o

we had a blast... the weather this weekend was absolutely gorgeous.... nice and warm...
i shot surprisingly well... i stomped on everyone else in my group, of 6 other adults... it was great... i didn't see all of the final scores, so i don't know how i did in relation to everyone else...

here's a few pics... my father in law has a few other good ones that i don't have, i'll try and get those posted too....

this ranch is amazing.. especially this time of year... i think it is 8,000 acres..

Looks like a great weekend. I do like that double bow shot alot!

Looks great, Mike. Thanks for the pictures. There's a primitive shoot up here every February, but I missed it the last 2 years. Hopefully next year. Of course, up here in Canada, it looks a little different in February than your pictures.

Doc

here's some more...

this is the owner of the property, mr. chamberlin himself... man, it must be a big bummer to own 8,000 acres and cruise around on your buggy, pulled by some gigantic draft horses...

the wildflowers were everywhere....

here's a pic of a few of the last men standing in the broadhead challenge.. you shoot 1 broadhead at the 3-d deer, with an exposed vitals cut out, and who ever hits the heart dead on wins... the moved it further back a few times, for those who went on to the end...

Very cool pics Mike. We will have to get together sometime and fling some arrows. You ever been to KMA? I like the broadhead knife whats the story behind it?

thanks for all the comments folks...:D

Good stuff mike do you make your own bows? I saw the arrows, nice!
bear-- i have yet to make a good shooting bow... i have tried it a few times, but always seem to screw it up...:( one of these days... i have a few staves curing as we speak... i make all of the rest of my gear/tackle...

nate-- anytime you want to get together man, drop me a line... i have been to KMA a few times.... there are 2 traditional shoots next weekend actually, both in the bay area too... sat. is at BOWHUNTERS UNLIMITED in stevens creek and the other, is in pacifica at the san francisco archers range... that place is amazing.. definately one of my favorite ranges...

Very cool pictures. Just got a compound bow about a year ago. It was frustrating for a while, but lately I've really been enjoying archery a lot. Went on a turkey hunt with it a couple weeks ago, was unsuccessful but I'll be out again. I'm really considering getting a recurve this summer. Not quite traditional, but something fun to play around with. It would be fun to try to make my own arrows, too--something to do during school when homework is destroying my will to live.

Very nice! makes me miss my Black Widow!

Great pics Mike. Looks like an aweosme time, plus great score on the GB Mini!

Nice Gene Ingram there on the bottom! What model is it?

thanks everyone....:D we had a great time.... there is actually another weekend long shoot next month, on memorial day weekend...

1tracker-- that is a gene ingram #30 drop point, in s30v and desert ironwood scales.... i love this knife.. it is just about perfect... i think it is probably my most used/carried fixed blade...
