Pics of customized production knives

Very interesting, I heard that once de-anno the aluminum is not as strong... Do you find that to be true?

That handle would look so good with a stone washed blade

read about that as well, can't tell so far, the fit was the same when reassembled. so far it has seen the typical light edc usw, paper, cardboard, some sausage. so no clue.
considering the thickness of the of the anodized layer i don't really see a reason, but i'm no chemist.

The knife handles are just as strong as ever. The difference is raw aluminum is not a very hard material so it'll scratch easily. Thats why you never see raw aluminum on knives.

yeah well, while that is true, aluminum also oxidizes by itself and forms a protective cover. though that is not as durable as surface hardening this knife is a user and looks rather well that way.
sadly i haven't heard from death of all things on my email inquiry about getting some custome replacements, if possible with ctek.

spketch is out of question i guess since i probably would have to send in the knife, which from germany - states - and back would add significantly to the costs of the scales. :(

Ctek isn't sturdy enough to use with partial liners anyway. Maybe with a thick g10 liner but I don't work with the 940.

OMG! I love this one! Is there any way to re-cut the liner and the scale so the hole is not half blocked like a virgin?

Ha yeah the stock scale allows full access to the hole and I can match that. I find this single arc more comfortable in the hand and better looking personally.

I still have to bring in my edges and do my final sanding; but you get the idea.
For good pics, it's best to take advantage of the good lighting out on deck.....whenever it's available.

ACU camo kydex grips on a Kershaw Blur.. Was fit testing before applying glue, they fit so snug I couldn't get them back out without damaging them or the knife...:victorious::victorious:

That is such a nice burl scale!!! I would plasti coat the presentation side screws red to match the red accent or copper/bronze to match the color of the wood, but that's just me, it looks amazing as is.
